True confession: I'm not the world's biggest fan of trilogies. As in, the first book has got to be pretty damn compelling for me to read the second, and if the second book is a disappointment, the third has no chance. It's not like i go out of my way to avoid trilogies, but I read them very, very selectively.
So, when I gush about THE WINNER'S TRILOGY by Marie Rutkoski, it's the real deal, you guys.
I *just* finished THE WINNER'S CRIME., which is the second book in the series I know I say this about a lot of books, but, seriously, this one is SO GREAT. It advances the story, the world and the characters of the first book and gah...if you've read it tell me so I have someone to gush with properly. And talk about that ending!!! Because, oh my God, that ending!!!
If you haven't read THE WINNER'S CURSE (Book 1) yet, you need to get on it. Although, the third book, THE WINNER'S KISS isn't out until March 2016, which will make you all sad like me when you realize it's six months until you find out how the story ends. :(
I'm going to have an epic book hangover from this one. Any good rec's to help me get over Kestrel and Arin's story until I can dive back in in March?
